Pan Tilt control

Post by Jon Lewis »

Hi all
Guido can out put warrior be used to control switches that control the motors XY axis on a pan tilt head from my Macs cursor keys . As you can guess I'm new to this but a quick learner if anyone can point me in the right direction. I use the Mac to download images from a remote camera It would be nice if I could also control the pan tilt at the same timevia the USB.

Thanks

Basically yes, the IO-Warrior does not really care what you do with the signals you send through it. But it is going to need some effort on the electronics side. Starts with the question what kind of motors you are going to use, they need the appropriate drivers.

Then it should be no big deal. Depending on your preferences and the power you need a couple driver transistors, driver chips, or relais should do the trick.
