PhotonWarrior28 are a family of photo amplifiers with USB interface. The first one, PhotonWarrior28A2, is currently in the final qualification of the first production batch.
Other than many products in that area it comes as a completely integrated solution. A powder coated 1/2" stainless steel tube contains photo diode and electronics. This provides a robust and well screened case. A SM05 internal thread allows easy installation of additional optics and adapters. On the other end it has a USB cable which is all it needs to be operated.
Power is supplied via USB and the data (12 bits 1 kHz) is transmitted as joystick data. That allows easy access of the data with standard programs like MathLab or LabView. No installation of a specific driver is necessary, on basically all platforms the system drivers are sufficient.
PhotonWarrior28A2 offers six amplification factors ranging from 10^3 to 10^8 in steps of factor 10. The standard model comes with a BPX65 photo diode. Custom configurations will be possible.
The price will be in the three digit range, so quite affordable.
