Must IO-Warrior appear as a human interface device?

Post by blakespot »

The current Mac OS X driverset makes the IO-Warrior 24 appear to the system as a human interface device. When it is receiving a datastream from an appication, the screens will not sleep in OS X. (I am trying to sleep the screens, not the system.) Is there an alternate or beta driver set that allows the screens to sleep while the IO-Warrior is active?

Thanks.

Good question. Since we have no control over Apples drivers there is not much we can do about it.

But I will try to ask the right people at Apple what they think about this issue. Since it is becoming quite common for low throughput devices to use the HID class it may make sense for them to modify the driver behaviour.
