JW24RC is detected as "EP1IntPipe" on XP

Post by pat_1300 »

Hi,
I have a JW24RC, connected to Multiplex sender.
It works fine on my old PC: a Win98, Pentium 700MHz.
Now, I bought a new machine (AMD 3GHz, running XP), but the JW24RC is always recognized as "EP1IntPipe", and Windows does not detect the signals from the transmitter. I tried with 3 different Multiplex senders, but always the same problem on my new machine, although it works fine on my old PC...
Other USB peripherals, like webcam and scanner are working fine on my new PC, so I don't think that the problem is related to the USB hardware.
Any idea ?
Thank you for your help,

The "EP1IntPipe" thing is due to the fact that various versions of Windows select different strings from the controller to name a device. They would be better off rolling dice...

There should be no problem using the JW24RC with WiXP. How did you build the device? The placement of the 100nF capacitor can lead to random results if not done properly. Especially if the voltage level suplied via USB varies the capacitors can have quite some effect.
